Monster Energy Ultra Sunrise
Orange up front with citrus beneath, and more carbonation than the rest of the range. That makes it drink closer to a soft drink than to an energy drink. Sweetness is kept low and the finish is short and clean. Of all the Ultra flavours this is the only one where the carbonation is part of the profile rather than just a carrier. Served cold it comes across best.
Sunrise is one of the older Ultra flavours and has appeared in several can sizes across markets. The orange print differs clearly between generations, which makes it one of the easier cans to date by eye. Sunrise belongs to the first generation of Ultra cans and has almost always shipped in 500 ml in Europe, while the American version sits at 473 ml; that difference tells you whether a can is an import.
