Monster Energy Ultra Paradise
Kiwi leads, lime sits underneath, and a green almost cucumber note keeps the whole thing cool. Sweetness stays in the background and the finish is short. Of the fruity Ultra cans this is the least openly sweet one; next to Fiesta Mango or Peachy Keen, Paradise reads as crisp rather than tropical. The can therefore drinks cooler than a tropical flavour suggests, which is why it has stayed in the permanent range for years.
The name is the same everywhere, but the size differs by market and with it the balance you taste. In a smaller can the lime comes forward more sharply. The pale green design is among the most recognisable in the range and returns regularly in altered form. Collectors who buy on design watch the shade of green, which shifts between print runs.
