Monster Energy Ultra Fantasy Ruby Red
Grapefruit in its pink form, with the bitterness that comes with it and citrus laid over the top. That bitter note is the defining feature: it keeps the can well away from the candy side most fruity Ultra flavours lean on. Next to Sunrise, which sits on orange, Fantasy Ruby Red is sharper and more grown up. Sweetness is kept low and the finish stays dry.
The can arrived as part of a trio of new Ultra flavours and reaches Europe only through import, so the size differs from Dutch cans. The pink gradient print has appeared in one version so far. For collectors this is one of those cans that surface mainly in variety packs and are harder to find on their own. The name also differs between markets, which complicates searching.
